Georgia Morley - Abstract Seascape Artist

Abstract painter of wild seas and remote landscapes, art inspired by travel and sustainability.

‘I am obsessed with the world and all of it’s beauty.

I want to capture the miraculousness of it all in my paintings, which are an ode to the Earth - a love letter to both people and planet.’

Georgia Morley is an abstract landscape and seascape artist known for her immersive approach to capturing the world’s diverse environments. With a deep-rooted love for nature, Georgia travels extensively, from living on the coast of Nicaragua to solo hiking in Patagonia. Each journey allows her to observe, connect and record the landscapes, creating an abstract interpretation of the energy of each place.

Georgia’s work invites contemplation on the fragility and beauty of our planet. Her technique, which blends traditional methods with modern insights, results in soft, dreamlike scenes. Her work has been featured in exhibitions and galleries internationally, with a share of the profits going back into the local communities. Through her art, she seeks to raise awareness of the necessity of preserving our natural landscapes and invites others to join her in this journey of discovery and respect for the earth and it’s people.

With a commitment to sustainability, Georgia’s artistic practice revolves around the research and use of natural pigments. This sustainable practice is integral, and with this research, she is able to quite literally add the land into the landscapes, allowing her to avoid the toxicity of everyday paint. This exploration has brought deep burgundies from the deserts of Mexico to rich ochres found in the outback of Australia. Indigenous communities, from places such as the Amazon rainforest, have shared their knowledge of pigments from fruits, seeds and plants as well as pigments from rocks. Art has shown to be way to connect people from different walks of life.
