Collaborations
Georgia X Maysea Movement
'The MAYSEA Movement is designed to enhance social transformation with accessible opportunities for those living in marginalized rural communities.' - mayseamovement.org

Maysea have been creating paper out of collected trash from the environment. Georgia met the community of women at an art market where she was selling her art, it was their first time selling their product and Georgia became their first client. She bought a batch of paper to paint on and started a project with them creating fully upcycled canvases. Every painting that sells on the paper and canvases goes straight back into the Maysea Movement project, where they plan on building a workshop for the women. The collaboration pieces are on display and for sale at The Art Warehouse, San Juan Del Sur, Nicaragua.

Georgia X Lizzeth Tecuatl Cuaxiloa
While staying in Mexico, Georgia worked alongside Mexican artist Lizzeth, learning about the indigenous Nahua culture and the importance of preserving cultural heritage.

'Liz was wonderful, she taught me about her culture and took me around Cholula explaining the history that took place. Her indigenous roots are clearly so important to her and it shines through in her work. I'm so inspired to see her work preserve her roots, educating people on the importance of cultural heritage, and was delighted when she invited me to help her with one of her murals. Liz creates a visual of the Nahua words, in different forms such as large scale murals and beautiful tiles. We decided to combine our work into 2 paintings, one of which I kept and one of which remains in Mexico. I created a classic seascape from locally foraged pigments and Liz drew the word 'water' over the top in inconografia zapoteca. These two contrasting styles of artwork that come from the other side of the world to each other, both contain strong messages of preservation - of culture and planet.'

Georgia and Lizzeth plan to exhibit together in the future - sign up to the newsletter below to keep up to date with this.
Georgia X Sofi Studios
While living in Medellin, Colombia, Georgia was painting an abstract interpretation of the city. It was here that a collaboration was born with Sophie Barfod, art dealer and fashion designer from Amsterdam. Sofi Studios looks at repurposing fashion and turning it into high end, wearable art. Georgia's imagination of the city, as well as a few classic seascapes, were painted directly onto vintage pieces - jackets, t-shirts and long sleeve tops. These now attend fashion shows and exhibitions in the art scene of Amsterdam. The original art pieces can be found in Galeria Origins in Medellin.
